Monica Anaya is a project coordinator for the Clear Pathways Initiative at Peg’s Foundation, the largest mental health funder in Ohio. She is an accomplished project manager, nonprofit leader, and patient advocate with extensive experience in operations, healthcare advocacy, and community engagement. She is the Co-Founder and President of the MPS SuperHero Foundation, a parent-led nonprofit supporting families affected by MPS through research, awareness, grants, and compassionate care. Her career spans healthcare, construction, solar, wellness, and nonprofit sectors, where she has been recognized for strengthening organizations, streamlining systems, and fostering impactful collaborations.

In both corporate and nonprofit settings, Monica has managed multiple departments and initiatives ranging from multimillion-dollar construction projects to large-scale fundraisers, community programs, and mental health compliance efforts. She has developed mentorship and scholarship programs, launched advocacy campaigns, and coordinated high-impact events by building partnerships with schools, community leaders, and industry partners. Her skills in project management, grant writing, relationship building, and regulatory compliance have helped organizations grow, secure funding, and deliver sustainable results.

With lived experience as a parent navigating complex medical care, Monica is a recognized voice in the rare disease community. She works alongside physicians, geneticists, and biotech companies to advance early diagnosis, newborn screening, patient-centered care, and treatment development. She has advised on clinical trial design, patient communication strategies, and recruitment, ensuring that the patient perspective remains at the center of research. As a national speaker, she has presented at leading conferences and institutions, continuing her mission to unite families, providers, and industry partners in creating hope, access, and meaningful change.
